It still exists!!

Flash shorts about muffins. The first 12 films were made by Amy Winfrey for her MFA thesis project at the UCLA Animation Workshop in 2000.

The second tin was made in 2010 to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Muffin Films.

What I was hoping for...

but it just didn't end up that way.

Here are some videos that I was hoping my project would become. There seems to be a disconnect between my hand skills and my computer skills. I guess I just like doing more things by hand.

Maybe, I've picked doing the wrong thing again...

...I just don't know what to do instead. :/

Moving pictures

I have been watching this show for a while and just realized the the opening title sequence is just images. I like the style. It gave me some ideas for the next project.

The clip is 10 min long, but only watch 40 secs-min 1:05.

It is amazing what 2 colors, 26 letters, some punctuation and a circle can do. Now, if changing the world was a simple as creating this ad.

The Girl Effect. It is simple and straightforward. It doesn't feel girly, but instead feels powerful. The point that the organization is trying to get across.
Here is the video from youtube: http://www.girleffect.org/video

Pulp Fiction

It's vulgar, but it does get the point across, even with the sound off.
So, what does Marcellus Wallace look like?

A fluid typeface

I came across this article the other day and I really liked the idea of transient type. Here, Ruslan Khasanov paints letters on porcelain and then captures them as animated gifs. In doing so showing how each letter is born and dies.

On this day of remembrance

I know this isn't kinetic type orientated, but it is design just the same.

Infographics about war spending since 9/11. I hope it will all end soon.
A little visual perspective:
